Let's get started! Start by signing into your Okta account

Note that you will need the following information from your Okta account:

  1. Your Okta domain (e.g. dev-123456.okta.com)

  2. Your email domain

  3. Your API key / Token Value

Let's create and retrieve that API key

  1. Once you're signed into your Okta account, select the 'Security' dropdown page from the navigation menu

    1. Within the 'Security' dropdown, select the 'API' page

    2. On the 'API' page, select the 'Tokens' tab

    3. Click the 'Create token' button

  2. A pop-up window will emerge where you will name your token and select your API calls origin

    1. We recommend that you create a zone using the Traceless Production IP Addresses, these will be provided to you separately.

    2. Click 'Create token'

IMPORTANT: On the next window, you must copy the provided 'Token Value' to your clipboard to add as the "API Key" in the Traceless UI

    1. This is the only time you will be able to access this Token Value

      1. If failure to copy, simply create a new token for a new Token Value

    2. Once your Token Value is properly copied, go to https://traceless.io/okta/connect/

    2. Your email domain (e.g. traceless.com) NOTE: The full email is not necessary; only the domain.
